Live Your AI Fantasy

What you can do

Find a character you'd want to meet

Read a character's profile to find out who they are and where you come into their story. Maybe an ex has turned up again. Maybe you've wandered into someone's private library. Choose a setup you'd want to answer. Browse dark romance characters, AI boyfriends, AI girlfriends, or all characters.

Create someone of your own

Give your character an appearance, personality, backstory, and opening scene. Decide how they know the person chatting with them and what they want. You can keep your character private or submit an eligible character for review to appear in Explore. Our character creation guide helps you get started.

Make images and video from the scene

Generate a photo in the chat. If you'd like to animate it, use Bring to Life on a generated image to create a video. Images and video use Stardust, VenusX's in-app credits.

Why we're building VenusX

Sometimes the most interesting part of a story is the conversation you wish you could have with a character. What would you ask them? Would you trust them? What would happen if you stayed?

We're building VenusX so you can try those ideas. A creator gives the character a life and a place to begin. You bring your own choices to the conversation. We want creating that kind of experience to be as approachable as starting a chat.

Our approach to storytelling

You and the AI build it together

You don't need to plan the whole story or write both sides. Say something, describe what you do, or combine the two. For example: *I stop in the doorway.* “I thought you'd already left.” The AI answers as the character, and you decide how to respond.

A reply can change the mood, introduce a problem, or take the scene somewhere else. Tell the character if you want to slow down, skip ahead, or change direction. The story develops one exchange at a time.

Who is it for?

VenusX is for adults who enjoy fictional characters and want to take part in their stories.

• Romance and romantasy readers: meet your type, try a favourite trope, or take your time with a slow burn.
• Roleplayers and RPG fans: play your side of a scene and see how a character reacts to your choices.
• Writers and creators: build a character and opening scene that other people can play.
• First-time roleplayers: start with a sentence. You don't need a character sheet or writing experience.

Everyone using VenusX must be 18 or older. All characters and participants in a story must also be adults.

How to get started

Open a character's profile, read the setup, and select Start chatting. Read their opening message and type your reply into the message box. A line of dialogue or a short action is enough. Send it, read their response, and take your next turn.

VenusX runs in a web browser on your phone or computer and needs an internet connection.

How VenusX pricing works

Try a chat before you subscribe

You can start with a limited guest chat before creating an account. Free access has limits; it isn't an unlimited free plan.

Choose monthly or annual billing

• Monthly: $12.99 per month, with 1,000 Stardust added each month.
• Annual: $9.99 per month, billed $119.88 per year, with 1,000 Stardust added each month.

Both options include unlimited Planetary text chat. The annual option is paid upfront for the year. View plans and pricing to choose a subscription.

Use Stardust for Stellar chat, images, and video

Stardust is VenusX's in-app credit balance. Planetary replies are included with a subscription; Stellar replies use Stardust, as do generated images and video. These share one balance, so spending credits on a video leaves fewer for other features.

• Each image: 5 Stardust.
• Each video: 50 Stardust.

If you need more, you can buy a one-time Stardust top-up. A top-up adds credits; it doesn't start a subscription or give you unlimited chat.

Cancel renewal in Settings

You can cancel a subscription in Settings. This stops the next renewal, and your subscription access continues until the paid period ends. See our refund and cancellation policy for billing help.

Common questions

What is a Venusian?

A Venusian is a fictional AI character on VenusX. Their creator defines their appearance, personality, backstory, and opening scene. You chat with them to build a story together.

Is VenusX free to try?

VenusX offers a limited guest chat before signup. Continued use depends on your account's allowance and plan. Subscriptions include Planetary text chat; Stellar replies, images, and video use Stardust. Check plans and pricing for current costs and allowances.

Can I keep my VenusX character private?

Yes. Private characters are available only to their creator. Eligible characters can be submitted for public review; approval is required before they appear in Explore. All creations must follow the Community Guidelines.

Am I talking to a real person on VenusX?

No. Character replies are generated by AI, as are the images and video you request. A character's story and responses are fiction.
